Who we are
Jena’s Way is a Connecticut-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting road safety awareness and helping reduce preventable accidents through education, advocacy, and community support.
Founded in memory of Jena Flammia, our organization was created to honor her life and carry forward a mission that reflects the importance of safe and responsible driving. Jena believed deeply in road safety and was known for always looking out for others. Through this organization, her legacy continues to make a positive impact throughout Connecticut communities.
The mission of Jena’s Way is to expand access to roadway safety education by supporting motorists and motorcyclists who complete approved safety training programs.
Through our programs and outreach efforts, we are committed to:
• Promoting road safety awareness through education, advocacy, and community events
• Providing rebates to Connecticut motorcycle riders and motorists who complete our approved education courses.
At Jena’s Way, we believe education saves lives. By encouraging continued driver and rider training, we hope to create safer roads, stronger awareness, and a lasting impact for future generations.

ABOUT JENA
Jena Flammia was a quiet yet incredibly strong-willed young woman. She was kind, compassionate, and deeply loving to those around her.
Jena had a creative spirit and a vibrant imagination. She was an avid gamer who built friendships with people from all over the world, creating meaningful connections through the communities she loved being part of.
Family meant everything to Jena. She cherished spending time with her immediate family, cousins, and especially her sister — who was not only family, but her very best friend. Their bond was truly unbreakable.
A graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical High School, Jena studied culinary arts and had a natural talent in the kitchen. She was an avid baker who loved sharing her creations with others, always finding joy in making people smile through food, gatherings and kindness.
Jena took pride in herself, her future, and her education. She was close to earning her Bachelor of Science degree in Information Technology and was scheduled to start an 11 week internship in Hartford — a milestone she worked incredibly hard toward and was so excited to begin.
She also had a deep love for animals. Jena worked part-time at Dogology and adored her two cats, Belle and Aurora (“Pinky”). Most of all, she deeply loved her German Shepherd, Mercy, with whom she spent countless hours training to become her personal service dog.
Jena’s life was filled with compassion, determination, creativity, and love. Through Jena’s Way, her legacy continues by helping create safer roads and stronger awareness for communities throughout Connecticut.
